Your Photography Experience: From Session to Final Gallery
Your session does not end when I put my camera away.
After your Outer Banks photography session, I begin the process of carefully selecting and editing the images that tell your story best. Every photograph goes through a thoughtful review process because I want to make sure the final gallery represents the connection, emotions, and moments that made your session special.
Selecting Your Images
After your session, I review all of the images captured and select the strongest photographs based on composition, lighting, focus, color, expression, and overall feeling.
Not every image taken during a session makes it into your gallery. My goal is not to send hundreds of images that feel repetitive. Instead, I carefully choose photographs that tell the story of your session and highlight the moments you will want to remember.
Your selected images will be uploaded to a private, password-protected proof gallery where you can choose your favorites based on the package you selected.
The Editing Process
Once you have made your selections, I begin the editing process.
Each image is individually edited with care, including adjustments to color, brightness, contrast, and minor blemish removal. I take the time to make sure your images feel natural, timeless, and true to the moment.
During busy seasons, final galleries may take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete.
I know waiting for your photos can be exciting, but I also believe your images deserve more than a quick edit and upload. I want to deliver photographs that I am proud of and that you will love looking back on for years to come.
Your Final Gallery
Your finished gallery will be delivered through a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images.
Every session includes:
A private, password-protected online gallery
Professionally edited images included with your selected package
Basic retouching, including color correction, brightness, contrast adjustments, and minor blemish removal
Access to professional print options, including prints, albums, wall art, metal prints, canvas, and holiday or event cards
Additional Images
Sometimes you fall in love with more images than expected, and I completely understand!
If you would like additional photographs beyond those included in your package, you may choose to upgrade to a larger collection or purchase additional images individually.
Custom Editing Requests
Every client is unique, and I understand that some people have different preferences.
If you prefer your images to have a specific editing style, do not want standard retouching, or have a special request, please let me know before your session. I am always happy to discuss your vision and what is possible.
More extensive retouching or specialty editing may be available for an additional fee per image.
Printing Your Images
Your photographs are meant to be enjoyed, not forgotten on a computer or phone.
Through your online gallery, you have the option to purchase professional prints, albums, wall art, and cards that are delivered directly to your home.
I have worked to offer quality printing options at prices comparable to local print stores while providing the convenience of ordering directly through your gallery.
You are always welcome to print your images wherever you choose. A print release is available upon request with every session.
Please keep in mind that Castle Color Photography cannot guarantee the color accuracy, quality, or longevity of images printed through outside companies. Professional printing labs use specialized equipment and calibration standards that can create a different result than what you see on your screen.
My goal is simple: to create beautiful photographs that allow you to relive these moments for years to come.
